Five years is a really long time to wait for just about anything.
But five years to get your car back from one of the city’s impound lot?
That’s what happened to Symone Smith.
To make a long story short, the Chicago woman loaned her car to a friend.
That friend ended up getting busted for drugs, so the prosecutors in the case decided to put a hold on the vehicle.
It finally took a judge saying she could get her 2010 Nissan Sentra back from a South Side impound lot, but there was a catch.
The Chicago Sun-Times says Smith had to pay over THREE THOUSAND BUCKS in city fines before they’d turn it over to her!
I guess the city was going to get there’s no matter what huh?
Since the car had been sitting there forever, she had to use jumper cables to get the thing started.
Now some might look at this situation as a “glass half empty” type of scenario, but I disagree!
I mean, think of the resale value of the car now!
Since it hasn’t moved in five years, it’s gotta have really low mileage on it right?
